The Family Unit

It is my belief that regular family portrait sessions are one of the most important things you can do for you and your children. Capturing the bond between children and their parents and between siblings is a treasure you can hold onto for generations to come.

While yearly is not necessary, getting into a pattern of family portraits every 2-3 years is what I encourage all of my clients to do.

I try to make the session as stress-free as possible by allowing parents to "pass the torch" to me during the time we're together. This approach establishes trust between photographer and child and ultimately, allows me to successfully capture the shots parents want, without parents feeling the burden of having to "control" their kids. This method is tried and true and the reason clients return.

You will notice in this gallery that it's not just the entire family in portraits...I very deliberately group family members in different combinations so you walk away with a well-rounded collection of portraits.

In my years of shooting, I have found that location is really secondary, contrary to popular belief. The main priority is finding good light and composing the images well and so incredible images are possible virtually anywhere.

The best place to start is by setting up a call back. Just fill out the form to the right to set one up! All new clients are eligible for an introductory discount on their first shoot booked.
